Scope and Contents

These photographs document the construction of the buildings and the Breezeway of the Boca Raton Campus from 1962 to 1969. In 2010 Algonquin was renamed to Nations North Residence Hall, Modoc is gone, Humanities Building was renamed to the Arts and Letters Building, Biological Science was renamed to Behavioral Sciences Building.

Conditions Governing Access

Collections are available for supervised use in the Special Collections reading room during regular hours or by appointment. Users are required to complete a registration form and to comply with regulations governing use. Research assistance may be available but please email or phone first to set up an appointment. Photocopies or electronic copies of material in the collections may be provided within copyright limits but may not be ready immediately. In addition, selected materials are digitized and available electronically through the Digital Library.

Custodial History

Upon the retirement of Ms. Adelaide Snyder, Vice President for University Relations and Advancement, in 1990, her files were inherited by Ms. Elfriede Lynch, Assistant Vice President for University Relations. Included in Ms. Snyder's files were Florida Atlantic University photographs.

Source of Acquisition

Ms. Elfriede Lynch transferred the photographs to the University Archives.

Method of Acquisition

This collection was transferred to the University Archives by Ms. Lynch upon her retirement in 2007.

In 2010, Leslie Siegel processed this collection.
