Scope and Contents
Dr. Anthony J. Catanese was the fourth president of FAU serving from 1990 to 2003. The photographs in this collection document these years and reflect the growth and development of FAU under his leadership. Dr. Catanese added additional campuses to FAU, he oversaw the creation of the Charles E. Schmidt Bio-medical Science Center, which is the foundation of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, football was added to the athletics program, and new buildings sprouted on the campuses for both existing and new colleges. There are 470 photographs in the collection. Conditions Governing Access
Collections are available for supervised use in the Special Collections reading room during regular hours or by appointment. Users are required to complete a registration form and to comply with regulations governing use. Research assistance may be available but please email or phone first to set up an appointment. Photocopies or electronic copies of material in the collections may be provided within copyright limits but may not be ready immediately. In addition, selected materials are digitized and available electronically through the Digital Library.
