Independent Atlantic Sun, 1989-1991
Scope and Contents
The Independent Atlantic Sun began publishing in July, 1989 and ceased publication in 1991. The Independent Atlantic Sun was not published by Florida Atlantic University. It was published by The Independent Atlantic Sun, Inc. By publishing outside the control of the University's Administration it sought to avoid the conflicts that the Atlantic Sun experienced. The first editorial stated that "The Sun is and will remain a free student run newspaper."

Conditions Governing Access
Collections are available for supervised use in the Special Collections reading room during regular hours or by appointment. Users are required to complete a registration form and to comply with regulations governing use. Research assistance may be available but please email or phone first to set up an appointment. Photocopies or electronic copies of material in the collections may be provided within copyright limits but may not be ready immediately. In addition, selected materials are digitized and available electronically through the Digital Library.
